It is used in the treatment of wind-cold and cold, cough and vomiting, vomiting in pregnancy, and fish and crab poisoning. Perilla is the dried leaves of Perilla frutescens Perilla, family Labiatae, with pungent and slightly warm flavor, belonging to the lung and spleen meridians; it has the effect of relieving cold and dispersing cold, promoting the circulation of Qi and harmonizing the stomach. It is used for the treatment of wind-cold cold, cough and vomiting, vomiting in pregnancy, fish and crab poisoning and other diseases. The adverse effects of perilla are not clear, people with qi deficiency, yin deficiency or warm disease should be cautious of using this drug; it is recommended to use under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, and should not buy and use this drug on their own in order to avoid delays in the condition.
