It is not recommended that patients pick the granuloma themselves with a needle. Infection aggravation: If you pick the granuloma by yourself, you often do not sterilize it thoroughly or use sterile instruments, which may aggravate the infection. In a few cases, after picking the granuloma with a needle, the patient squeezes the granuloma with his hands, which may cause retrograde infection, resulting in cellulitis of the eyelid, or even causing infection in the brain, which may be life-threatening in severe cases. 2. Purulent secretions are not discharged cleanly: if you use a needle to break a granuloma yourself, the breach is often small, and the pus inside the abscess may be thicker and more viscous, which is often not discharged cleanly. If the abscess has been formed, it is recommended that the patient seek medical attention for incision and drainage of pus.
