Can cervical spondylosis cause ear pain?

Cervical spondylosis does not cause ear pain. There are four types of cervical spondylosis, each of which causes different symptoms, but because the nerves in the ear emanate directly from the skull, cervical spondylosis does not cause ear pain. The main symptom of neurogenic cervical spondylosis is abnormal sensation or pain and numbness in the extremities, especially in the upper extremities. Spinal cord type cervical spondylosis mainly causes spinal cord lesions, but this refers to lesions below the level of the spinal cord compressed by the cervical spondylosis and does not lead to lesions within the skull. Vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis can cause a decrease in blood supply to the brain, which can lead to vertigo, nausea, vomiting and sudden collapse, but does not cause ear pain, and similarly sympathetic cervical spondylosis does not cause ear pain.
