Clinical Application of Pediatric Tui Na

Pediatric massage, also known as pediatric massage, is an external treatment method used by doctors to prevent and treat pediatric diseases by applying techniques to the acupuncture points of the pediatric organism to adjust the internal organs, qi, blood and tendons. In clinical practice, it is mainly used to treat diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, anorexia, noma, fever, cough, asthma, nocturnal cry, slanting neck and other diseases. It is suitable for children under 5 years old, with obvious effect under 3 years old. Why do children get sick easily? As children’s internal organs are weak, their resistance to disease is poor, and they are not able to regulate themselves in terms of cold and warmth, and do not know how to regulate their diet. If the treatment is timely, the improvement is faster and easy to heal. Second, what is the difference between pediatric massage and adult massage? (1) The physiological characteristics of children are “the internal organs are delicate, the shape is not full of gas, vigorous, rapid development”, and the pathological characteristics are “poor resistance, easy to develop; rapid transmission, easy to recover”. The disease mechanism is simple. (2) Pediatric massage techniques require “light and soft, smooth and solid”. (3) Pediatric acupressure points are unique to children and are different from those of adults. Most of them are below the elbow and knee, and most of them are on the back of the palm of the hand, which is easy to operate. It is said that “all the veins of the child are gathered in the palm”. (4) The clinical morbidity of pediatric patients is mostly due to external sensation, internal injuries from diet and febrile diseases. (5) The order of operation for children is generally upper limbs (customary pushing the left hand), second head and face, then chest and abdomen, waist and back, and finally the lower limbs. Diarrhea: refers to the increase in the number of stools in children, thin stools or watery stools, mostly in the summer and autumn, with a high incidence in children under 2 years of age, mostly caused by feeling external evil (mainly damp), injury to diet, spleen and stomach weakness, panic, etc. It can be divided into diarrhea due to injury to food, wind-cold diarrhea, damp-heat diarrhea, spleen deficiency diarrhea, panic diarrhea, etc. Constipation: A symptom of constipation, or prolonged bowel movement, or difficulty in passing stool despite the intention to do so. It is often accompanied by abdominal pain, bloating, poor appetite and bad breath. It can be divided into actual constipation and virtual constipation, where actual constipation can be divided into hot constipation, gas constipation, cold constipation, and virtual constipation is mostly gas deficiency. Vomiting: all food from the mouth and vomiting, with sound and material is called vomiting. Need to be distinguished from the “milk overflow”, milk overflow is the child after nursing, milk overflow with the corners of the mouth, generally does not belong to the pathology. Vomiting is mostly caused by too much milk, or eating milk powder, cold, fatty and other foods that are not difficult to digest. Anorexia: It refers to a longer period of loss of appetite, or even refusal to eat. The most important thing is that it is not only a good idea to have a good understanding of the situation, but also a good idea to have a good understanding of the situation. The symptoms are similar to those of “pediatric malnutrition”, which is the result of insufficient intake of food or inadequate use of food intake. Cough: mainly due to external coughing. Children’s internal organs are delicate and susceptible to wind-cold and wind-heat invasion.
