It is not clear how long ovarian cancer patients can live if they have ascites. There is no obvious relationship between ascites and ovarian cancer staging symptoms, which can occur in early stage and also in late stage. If ovarian cancer ascites appears in early stage, the prognosis can be better through surgery, and the 5-year survival rate can reach 70%-90%. If ovarian cancer ascites is in late stage, it is very difficult to treat and the prognosis is poor, and the patient’s life can be prolonged through chemotherapy or radiotherapy, but the 5-year survival rate is only 20%-40%.
