What happens when the gums become inflamed and bleed

Inflammation and bleeding of the gums are very common symptoms, and the most common disease causing this symptom is gingivitis. The typical clinical signs of gingivitis are red, swollen and flaccid gums as well as bleeding. Bleeding is often manifested as bleeding under irritation, and the common clinical symptoms are bleeding from brushing and bleeding from biting on hard objects. The so-called bleeding from biting hard objects is commonly seen in patients with gingivitis when they eat fruits, such as apples or pears, and the corresponding blood stains are left on top of the fruit after eating, leading the patient to visit the dentist. The best treatment for gingivitis is periodontal scaling, which is commonly known as scaling treatment. Scaling removes plaque as well as calculus from the periodontium and restores the periodontium to health. The vast majority of patients will experience significant relief from bleeding gums after scaling.
