Chaihu Shu Liver Pill and Xiangsha Liu Jun Wan are not contraindicated and can be taken together.
Chaihu Shu Liver Pill is composed of Poria, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Platycodon grandiflorus, Rhubarb, White peony in wine, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Mucuna pruriens, Vinegar Parsley, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix et Rhizoma Ziziphi. Its function is to dredge the liver and regulate qi, eliminate flatulence and relieve pain. It is mainly used for treating liver qi discomfort, food and drink stagnation, chest and hypochondrium (the collective term for the chest and rib area) congestion and discomfort, and vomiting of sour water. The contraindications and adverse reactions of this product are not clear.
Xiangsha Liujun Pill is composed of Muxiang, Poria, Sha Ren, Roasted Licorice, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Ginger Semen, and Stir-fried Atractylodes Macrocephalae. It functions to benefit qi, strengthen the spleen and harmonize the stomach. It is used for treating spleen deficiency and qi stagnation, failure to digest food and drink, belching (belching), lack of desire for food and drink, epigastric distension (a feeling of swelling and puffiness in the stomach and abdomen), and loose stools. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not known.
