What is a joint with an articulating disk

Joints with articular discs are those in which an articular disc is present before the articular surface. Commonly, there are mandibular joint, radial wrist joint, knee joint, shoulder lock joint and so on. 1. Mandibular joint: also known as temporomandibular joint, consists of the mandibular head of the mandible and the mandibular fossa and articular disk of the temporal bone. The temporomandibular joint is a joint, both sides must move at the same time. 2. Radiocarpal joint; consists of the carpal articular surface of the lower end of the radius and the underside of the articular disk forming the articular fossa, which is united with the proximal articular surfaces of the navicular, lunate, and triquetrum, and it belongs to the elliptical joint. 3. Knee joint: composed of the lower end of the femur, the upper end of the tibia and the patella, the articular disk between the lower end of the femur and the upper end of the tibia is also known as the meniscus, which is divided into the medial meniscus and the lateral meniscus. It is the largest and most complex joint in the human body and belongs to the synovial joint. 4. acromioclavicular joint: it is composed of the acromion end of the clavicle and the articular surface of the acromion, belonging to the plane joint, and can do micro-movement movement in all directions. The joint capsule is loose and attached to the periphery of the articular surface, which is reinforced by the rostral ligament (oblique ligament, conical ligament) connecting the rostral eminence of the scapula to the underside of the clavicle.
