Nibbling off the scab refers to exploring the method of removing the burn necrotic tissue as soon as possible with minimal stimulation and early closure of the injured surface for patients with deep burns in complicated conditions and secondary infections.
The specific operation method is as follows: without any anesthesia to the patient in the ward, use the straight vascular forceps to hold the whisker blade to cut the typical burn necrotic tissues, especially those suspected of having infected fluid under the scab.
Each time to cut the scab does not want to cut completely but to extensive drainage; do not want to cut the size of the scab but want to be tolerated by the patient; cut the scab to little or no bleeding, in order not to cause pain to the patient as the principle.
Each dressing change must cut the scab until a selected area of the injury surface clean, can consider skin grafting.
The recipient area does not necessarily have to be typical healthy granulation tissue, as long as the implantation of autologous punctate blade thick skin pieces, skin pieces can be more likely to survive and gradually close the wound surface.
