An Erning Granules is a prescription medication, Chinese medicine preparation. The main ingredients are Geranium, Safflower, Artificial Oxalis, Rock Cabbage, Licorice, Alpine Horseradish, Short-tubed Hare’s Ear, White Sandalwood, Tangut Aconite. It mainly treats clearing away heat and wind, resolving phlegm and relieving cough, and is quite effective for children with wind-heat cold, cough with phlegm, fever, sore throat and upper respiratory tract infection. For each oral use, children under 1 year old take 1.5g at one time, children between 1 and 5 years old take 3g at one time, and for children 5 years old, take 6g at one time, 3 times a day. Since the medicine is a Chinese herbal preparation, the side effects are relatively minor, and the biggest side effect may be diarrhea.
