Lymph node enlargement that does not subside is sometimes a normal manifestation of inflammation that is not completely absorbed after lymph node infection, and sometimes it is a manifestation of some other diseases, which needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. If a patient has previously had a cold, fever or infection that caused swollen lymph nodes, the lymph nodes will not suddenly subside when the cold or fever improves, but the lymph nodes will subside gradually. Some swollen lymph nodes will not subside for a long time or even for several years, but they will not have any adverse reaction and will not affect normal life. However, if the lymph nodes are swollen and have a hard texture, it is important to consider whether it is some other disease, including tuberculosis, metastatic tumors or diseases of the lymphatic system itself, such as Hodgkin’s lymphoma or non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
