What to do if you can only use cold water to relieve a toothache

Toothache can only be relieved by cold water, it may be acute purulent pulpitis, acute pulpitis, pulp congestion, etc. You can choose appeasement treatment, root canal treatment or apical induction plasty.
1. Root canal treatment: the typical symptom of acute pulpitis is hot pain and cold relief, which is mainly caused by excessive pressure in the pulp cavity. Opening the pulp and draining it first can rapidly reduce the pressure in the pulp cavity of the tooth, and then root canal treatment can be carried out when the pain in the tooth is relieved.
2. Apical induction molding: Apical induction molding is suitable for young permanent teeth whose apical foramen is not completely closed, and the roots are induced to continue to develop with medication. The procedure is reviewed every 3 to 6 months after treatment, and root canal filling is performed after the apical development is complete.
3. Pacification: Pacification is the first option for pulpal congestion. If there is no significant relief of pain after two weeks, then root canal treatment will be performed; if the pain is significantly relieved after two weeks, a permanent filling will be required.
Toothache can only be relieved with cold water, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, after clarifying the cause of the disease and active treatment.
