Manifestations of gallstone pain

The gallbladder and bile ducts are collectively known as the biliary system, and the formation of stones in the biliary system is known as gallstones. Most patients with gallstones have no obvious symptoms and are usually detected by physical examination, and some patients may have painful sensations. Gallstones can be divided into gallbladder stones, extrahepatic bile duct stones and intrahepatic bile duct stones. 1. Gallbladder stones: If gallbladder stones are combined with acute cholecystitis, there can be obvious boredom and distension in the right upper abdomen, and the pain can be aggravated by light touch, which can develop into purulent cholecystitis in severe cases. If gangrenous perforation of the gallbladder and bile leakage occurs, it may lead to pain throughout the abdomen. Part of the stones embedded in the gallbladder spasm, will be manifested as persistent biliary colic, with paroxysmal intensification, mainly because of the gallbladder pressure increasing, the gallbladder continued strong contraction caused by; 2, extrahepatic bile duct stones: mainly because the stones embedded in the common bile duct, resulting in bile can not be discharged, bile duct pressure increased, thus presenting the pain caused by bile duct spasm. This pain is often combined with chills, high fever and jaundice. The bile cannot be drained and will be absorbed into the blood, causing yellow eyes, yellow urine and yellow skin. 3. Intrahepatic bile duct stones: the pain symptoms are relatively mild, more often manifested as chills, chills and high fever. Because the stones are confined to the liver, intrahepatic bile duct inflammation is more often presented as persistent distension and pain in the right upper abdomen, and does not appear similar to the spasmodic pain caused by gallbladder stone impaction or extrahepatic bile duct stone obstruction. Therefore, when gallstone patients have pain that cannot be relieved, they should seek medical attention promptly, check blood routine, liver function, ultrasound, CT, etc. for clear diagnosis, and treat with medication or surgery as soon as possible. And adjust the diet and improve the lifestyle to prevent recurrence.
