How long can I have an abortion?

In the case of a confirmed intrauterine pregnancy, the earlier the abortion is performed, the better, i.e. after the pregnancy is confirmed. This is because the earlier the abortion procedure is performed, the easier the body’s recovery after the procedure. Under normal circumstances, a pregnant woman can choose to have a medical abortion within 49 days of pregnancy, a curettage procedure between 49 and 70 days of pregnancy, or an induction of labor if she is more than 13 weeks pregnant. The earlier the abortion is performed, the shorter the time it takes for the woman to recover after the operation, because the embryo is smaller, the endometrial layer is not too thick, and the uterus is not particularly large and soft, so it is easy to remove the embryo, and the operation time is shorter and the bleeding is less. Therefore, pregnant women can have an abortion after pregnancy is confirmed, but the damage to women from abortion is irreversible and needs to be considered carefully. In addition, it is important to note that sexual intercourse must be prohibited for one month after the abortion, and if the procedure is a painless abortion, fasting from food and water for about six hours before the procedure.
