Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease of the nervous system. The Department of Neurology, Department of Ophthalmology, Department of Thoracic Surgery, ICU, Department of Anesthesiology, Department of Endocrinology and Department of Laboratory Medicine of Beijing Tongren Hospital, affiliated to Capital Medical University, have accumulated rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of myasthenia gravis and thymoma, and have made remarkable achievements in the research of pathogenesis and improvement of treatment technology, and have gradually formed a collaborative group for the treatment of myasthenia gravis with the treatment and research of myasthenia gravis as the center. In order to cope with the increasing number of patients and the development of scientific research, to improve the collaboration between departments and to better serve the patients with myasthenia gravis, through the leadership of Beijing Tongren Hospital Surgery Center (thoracic surgery, ICU), neurology and ophthalmology, and in-depth discussion with related departments such as anesthesiology, endocrinology and laboratory, on the basis of the myasthenia gravis treatment collaborative group, the Capital Medical University was established in January 2013. The Research Center for Treatment of Myasthenia Gravis was established in January 2013 based on the Collaborative Group for Treatment of Myasthenia Gravis of Beijing Tongren Hospital.
