How to treat and prevent periarthritis of the shoulder

As the weather turns colder, the number of outpatients with shoulder pain increases significantly, and most patients know they have frozen shoulder themselves. Does shoulder pain mean frozen shoulder? In fact, this is a misconception. There are many diseases that cause shoulder pain, and frozen shoulder accounts for about 20-30% of shoulder pain patients. What is frozen shoulder? The exact name of frozen shoulder is “frozen shoulder”, which refers to pain in the shoulder joint without any obvious cause and is accompanied by a general decrease in the active and passive range of motion of the joint. If you have shoulder pain in your daily life and have difficulty washing your face or combing your hair, have difficulty tying your bra for lesbians, have difficulty lifting your pants in the toilet, cannot sleep on the affected side at night, and have shoulder pain that is significantly worse at night, then you may have frozen shoulder. Many people think that frozen shoulder is an inflammation of the muscles, ligaments, nerves or blood vessels around the shoulder joint, and even some doctors are not very clear about where the frozen shoulder is located. In fact, frozen shoulder is the result of a sterile inflammation and contracture of the joint capsule of the shoulder joint, leading to pain and an overall decrease in the range of motion of the shoulder joint. The incidence of frozen shoulder has a significant positive correlation with age, generally occurring between the ages of 40 and 60, commonly known as the “fifty shoulder”, with more women than men and more left than right. Should frozen shoulder be treated? Frozen shoulder is a self-healing disease, divided into a painful period, a stiff period and a remission period, with an average duration of three years. Therefore, some patients think that they should not treat frozen shoulder and go back to exercise. In fact, some patients with frozen shoulder have severe pain in their shoulders, making it difficult to wash their faces, comb their hair, lift their pants in the toilet, put on their clothes, or even eat by themselves, and the pain is so severe at night that they cannot sleep, which seriously affects their quality of life and daily work. For normal people, three years can easily pass, but for patients with such pain, it is like years. Therefore, frozen shoulder needs to be treated actively to reduce pain, improve joint mobility, shorten the course of the disease, and improve the quality of life. What are the treatments for frozen shoulder? There are many treatments for frozen shoulder, but the most effective method is joint closure injection. Many people have a fear and rejection of the closure, thinking that it is hormones and anesthetics and does not cure the disease. The pathological changes of frozen shoulder are aseptic inflammation and adhesions of the joint capsule, and hormones are precisely good treatment for this, long-acting hormones, which can work continuously for a month. Another misconception of closure is that it does not work well because the drug is not injected into the joint cavity. After the closure, the shoulder pain is reduced and functional rehabilitation exercises must be carried out under the guidance of a doctor. For some patients who do not want to play closed or some doctors are not familiar with the local anatomy of the shoulder and do not master the shoulder joint puncture when topical or oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs can also play a very good therapeutic effect. The most appropriate method for patients is effective and non-invasive. As with closure, it is important to maintain functional exercises after pain relief. How to Prevent Keeping the shoulder joint warm is equally important to prevent and treat frozen shoulder. In the summer in an air-conditioned room, lesbians can use a shawl to protect the shoulder joint and avoid the cold wind blowing against the shoulder. In the fall and winter, you can put a heater at the shoulder or wear a heat therapy device. If you have frozen shoulder, you can apply some 75% alcohol on your shoulder and then use a hair dryer to dry it with hot air, which can also have a good therapeutic effect. In short, there are many causes of shoulder pain, except for frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injury, subacromial impingement, biceps longus tendonitis, shoulder glenoid labrum injury, calcific tendonitis, etc. It is important to have a clear diagnosis in order to get good treatment results.
