Some elderly people with dry mouth will think of measuring blood sugar to see if they have diabetes. This is very good, most clinical patients with diabetes will have symptoms of dry mouth, especially dry mouth at night is obvious.  But dry mouth can occur in dry syndrome, hyperthyroidism, chronic pharyngitis, anemia, tuberculosis, urolithiasis, menopausal syndrome, etc. Some oral diseases, such as chronic submandibular gland inflammation, parotitis, oral glandular stones, etc. can also occur.
