What do patients with myasthenia gravis need to be aware of when taking bromipyridamole?

  Bromipyridamole is the first-line drug for myasthenia gravis. It can relieve the symptoms of weakness in most patients with myasthenia gravis. However, bromipyridamole cannot treat myasthenia gravis disease itself, but it is vital in the treatment of myasthenia gravis, and its side effects can include diarrhea and increased salivation. Note:Be sure to communicate with your supervising physician about the dosage of bromipyridamole and if you forget to take it or if you cannot take it.  You should pay attention to the following matters when taking the medication: 1. Take the medication on time to maintain stable muscle strength.  2.Adjust the time of taking the medication to match your daily routine.  3.Physically demanding activities should be scheduled 1-2 hours after taking the medication (peak drug effect period) as much as possible.  4.Taking medication after meals can reduce stomach discomfort. If there is difficulty in chewing or swallowing, take medication 30 minutes before meals to help smooth meals; if you still cannot eat after 30 minutes of taking medication, you can wait for another 30 minutes to eat; if you still cannot eat after 1 hour of taking medication, you should seek medical attention promptly. If you are in hospital, you need to report to the medical staff on duty in time to request other treatment.  5.Taking too large a dose may trigger cholinergic crisis.
