There are several ways to grade the syndrome, among which the National Cancer Institute (NCI) grading scale is commonly used. This classification classifies the syndrome into 3 grades: Grade 1: mild skin changes or dermatitis with sensory abnormalities that do not affect daily activities; Grade 2: skin changes as before, with pain, mildly affecting daily activities, with an intact skin surface; Grade 3: ulcerative dermatitis or skin changes with severe pain, severely affecting daily activities, with significant tissue destruction (e.g., desquamation, blistering, bleeding, edema).
