What happens when the mitral tricuspid valve is mildly insufficiently closed?

Normal mitral and tricuspid valve closure function depends on the six intact structures and normal function of the valve leaflets, annulus, tendon cords, papillary muscle, left ventricle, and right ventricle. Structural and functional abnormalities in any of these six components can cause mitral and tricuspid valve insufficiency. There are several degrees of closure insufficiency. If a patient with only mild regurgitation has only mild, exertional dyspnea; if severe regurgitation is produced, such as papillary muscle rupture, acute right heart failure or left heart failure soon occurs, even producing cardiogenic shock, which affects the patient’s health, it is recommended to go to the hospital early and listen to the doctor’s advice for treatment.
