Recently, I met several special patients with “dental disease” in my work, and through patiently listening to their requests and carefully experiencing their distress, I gradually felt that these patients were not serious in terms of dental and maxillofacial deformities, but their less than healthy or sunny psychological and mental states made me have a more important sense of responsibility to The “dental disease” arising from the heart disease has to be cured by heart-to-heart communication and sincere treatment. In the current environment, many adults are burdened with the heavy pressure of survival, especially some people who are not living a very smooth life, they are susceptible to the psychological implication of others or self, when looking for the reasons why they are not so successful, often focusing on the disadvantages of their own physical conditions, invariably magnifying their physical weaknesses. As a result, many people go into cosmetic medical settings expecting to change their life trajectory and regain their lives through orthodontics and cosmetic surgery. However, if they go into a profit-oriented hospital and encounter a doctor who is not responsible enough, their real psychological problems are often ignored and they receive excessive medical treatment instead, which results in more losses than gains. The author has seen several patients, after full communication, they have given up some of the original impractical ideas, satisfied to leave. The author believes that, in clinical work, dentists must develop the special ability to screen and receive such patients, treat people with sincerity, let patients open up about their condition or the current situation, determine the real reason and purpose of their visit, to convince people with virtue, the right “medicine”, heart-to-heart communication to heal the patient’s heart, and then supplemented with the necessary and appropriate Only then can we truly solve the patients’ suffering. If more and more doctors can grasp this kind of treatment principles and skills, the restoration of a harmonious doctor-patient relationship will not come soon.
