About Irregular Vaginal Bleeding

As mentioned earlier, the diagnosis of uterine bleeding is based on an exclusionary approach, after organic diseases, pregnancy-related diseases and other systemic diseases have been excluded. Anovulatory hemorrhage is more common and difficult to treat. The choice of the treatment for anovulatory dysfunctional hematemesis should be determined by different circumstances. If the age is over 35 years old (especially over 40 years old), medication is ineffective, or there are risk factors for endometrial cancer (such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, never been pregnant, etc.), curettage should be chosen. The purpose of curettage is to clarify the endometrial pathology diagnosis and stop bleeding. Those with high bleeding and anemia, and who are not suitable for curettage, can be selectively hormonally hemostatic; very few patients need surgical treatment (meaning endometrial resection, hysterectomy). Treatment after hemostasis includes correction of anemia, cycle adjustment and ovulation promotion. Meritorious bleeding, in Chinese medicine, is referred to as a leakage of blood. The treatment of bleeding in TCM is also carried out in stages. During the bleeding phase, the main focus is on fixing the flushing and stopping the bleeding. After the bleeding has stopped, menstrual regulation is then carried out according to the patient’s different conditions. Anovulatory dysfunction is a difficult condition and is not easily cured by either Chinese or Western medicine. Therefore, the patient needs to cooperate in other aspects as well. For example, strengthening nutrition, avoiding strain, avoiding mental and emotional adverse effects, changing bad dietary habits, etc.
