What does BI-RADS level 3 mean?

The BI-RADS classification is an imaging scoring system for the breast, divided into grades 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. A grade 0 indicates that the film is scrapped and must be retaken; a grade 1 means no breast lesion is found; a grade 2 is a benign lesion. a BI-RADS grade 3 with a malignancy rate of ≤2% indicates that a benign lesion has occurred and suggests a short term follow-up with a review once every 3-6 months, and a grade 2 if the lesion has not changed after 2-3 consecutive years. a grade 4 and a grade 5 with a malignancy rate of ≤30% and >95%, respectively, and a BI-RADS grade 6 grade has confirmed the diagnosis of breast cancer.
