Liver abscess is generally divided into early stage of liver abscess, abscess stage and absorption and healing stage. 1. Early stage of liver abscess: patients often have symptoms such as chills and high fever, and there may be signs of tenderness in the liver area, as well as inflammatory manifestations such as elevated body temperature or elevated neutrophils and leukocytes. 2. Abscess stage: in this period, the patient’s body temperature can be as high as 39~40℃, and the symptoms of infection will be aggravated, and even systemic symptoms such as nausea and fatigue will appear. At this time, patients generally need to be treated with abscess incision and drainage. For more serious patients, lobectomy and segmental resection can be performed. 3. Absorption and healing period: after active symptomatic supportive treatment and effective puncture and drainage, the patient’s condition improves and enters the absorption and healing period, with better symptoms, signs gradually return to normal, and the abscess gradually disappears on imaging. Regular review is recommended during this period. If liver abscess is suspected, the patient should consult the doctor in time, complete the relevant examinations, make a clear diagnosis, and then take the corresponding treatment plan.
