Why I don’t do the buried eyelid method

After years of case follow-up, except for a very few cases, I think the buried wire method should be gradually withdrawn from the stage of double eyelid surgery. There are three reasons: 1. The buried wire method is accepted for its small trauma, but as far as I can see, our surgery should be even less traumatic than it is, and the swelling time is still short. 2. The short-term effect of double eyelid is still reliable, but the long-term effect is poor, and many people have bilateral asymmetry or even disappear after 5-10 years. A surgery is not a good surgical solution if you can’t expect its effect. 3. The surgical results of the buried thread method vary greatly, and are related to the operation of the surgeon and the conditions of the customer. Having done a lot of double eyelid revision by the buried wire method, I found that the tissue fixed by the buried wire is very random.
