The significance of regular oral health examination is three (1) common oral diseases (such as caries, periodontal disease, etc.) are mostly chronic diseases, and the early symptoms are not obvious, so it is easy to be ignored. Therefore, through regular oral health examination, early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment can be achieved. (2) Regular oral health examination is one of the important basic work to implement the secondary prevention system, otherwise it is impossible to implement the secondary prevention measures more effectively. Regular oral health examination can be divided into two categories (1) population examination, to understand the prevalence of common oral diseases of a certain group of people, according to the need and possibility, to develop prevention and treatment plans, to achieve the purpose of “early treatment of diseases, prevention of diseases”; (2) individual examination, to clarify the degree of individual oral health, consultation, guidance to individuals to protect oral health specific methods.
