Does bleeding hemorrhoids make your stomach hurt?

Bleeding hemorrhoids do not cause abdominal pain; bleeding is primarily a symptom of internal hemorrhoids. Patients with abdominal pain may have other causes and it is best to do abdominal palpation or abdominal examination to clarify the diagnosis. Internal hemorrhoids are predominantly painless bleeding and prolapsed masses. Because internal hemorrhoids grow above the dentate line of the anus, the surface covers the rectal mucosa, which is innervated by the vegetative nerves and has no painful sensation, but is more sensitive to swelling and tugging. The painless bleeding of internal hemorrhoids is manifested as dripping blood during defecation, and sometimes even jet-like bleeding, but there is no obvious pain.
