How to treat pustular acne on the face

The treatment of pustular acne on the face includes general treatment, topical medication, systemic medication and phototherapy. 1. General treatment: Choose water or suitable cleansing products to remove excess oil, dander and bacterial mixture on the skin surface, but not over-washing, pay attention to oil control and moisturizing, and use mild moisturizing milk externally. Avoid squeezing and scratching the lesions with hands. Limit the intake of high glycemic index foods and milk that may trigger or aggravate acne, keep bowel movement smooth, and avoid staying up all night. 2. Topical medication: (1) Retinoids: including isotretinoin and retinoic acid milk, which should be used in low concentration or in a small range to avoid light. (2) Benzoyl peroxide: can eliminate Propionibacterium acnes and dissolve acne. (3) Antibiotics: such as erythromycin ointment and clindamycin. (4) Azelaic acid: side effects are mild stinging or redness. (5) Selenium disulfide: removes bacteria, fungi, and parasites. (6) Other drugs: such as sulfur lotion. 3. Systemic medication: (1) Antibiotics: preferred tetracyclines such as doxycycline and minocycline. Contraception should be used during the use of drugs. (2) Anti-androgen drugs: such as birth control pills and spironolactone, suitable for female patients with hyperandrogenic manifestations. 4. Phototherapy: LED blue light or red light irradiation treatment is suitable for pustular acne. Patients should not use medication on their own, but should go to the hospital in time and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
