How to treat oral cancer

Oral cancer can be clinically staged according to three factors: the size of primary tumor, the presence of lymph node metastasis in the neck and the presence of distant metastasis in the whole body. The treatment of oral cancer is divided into: 1.surgical resection; 2.radiotherapy; 3.chemotherapy; 4.Chinese medicine treatment, etc. For early oral cancer in clinical stage I-II, surgery or radiotherapy alone is advocated; for advanced oral cancer in clinical stage III-IV, comprehensive treatment based on surgery, combined with radiotherapy, chemotherapy and Chinese medicine treatment is adopted. For surgery-based comprehensive treatment, the primary tumor should be removed and lymph node dissection in the neck should be carried out, and radiotherapy or chemotherapy should be combined before or after surgery, supplemented with Chinese medicine adjustment treatment when necessary. The purpose of comprehensive treatment is to prevent tumor recurrence and metastasis after surgery and to improve the survival rate and cure rate.
