Follow-up screening for fetal structural anomalies needs to be continued for low gestational risk at the time of missed non-invasive testing, but if the gestational risk is high, prenatal diagnosis needs to be performed as prescribed by the doctor. Rigorous prenatal testing during pregnancy is essential to ensure the quality of the pregnancy and to rule out fetal developmental abnormalities as early as possible. Non-invasive tests should be performed at 12~22+6 weeks of gestation. When the time of the test is missed, it is necessary to undergo ultrasound screening for fetal structural anomalies at 20~24 weeks of gestation when the risk of the pregnancy is generally high after full assessment by the doctor and continue the subsequent obstetric tests strictly on time. In the case of high-risk pregnancy, such as advanced maternal age, too much or too little amniotic fluid, etc., need to follow the doctor’s instructions for prenatal counseling, and have to carry out prenatal diagnostic tests, such as amniocentesis or umbilical vein puncture to rule out the risk of chromosomal disorders in the fetus, and strictly continue with the follow-up prenatal examination.
