How long does it take for kidney disease to progress to uremia

If kidney disease is not treated the final outcome is uremia, in the process of development of more influential factors, from the development of kidney disease to uremia time can not be generalized. The time to develop this disease is mostly related to the pathological type of kidney disease, clinical manifestations and treatment effects. The prognosis for mild tegumentary proliferative nephritis is better and less likely to develop into uremia; the prognosis for membranous nephropathy, severe tegumentary proliferative nephritis, membranous proliferative nephritis and focal segmental sclerosing nephritis is worse, and these patients are prone to develop uremia, with varying times to development, ranging from several years to decades. Early diagnosis and treatment can slow the progression of the disease. There are more treatments for patients with nephropathy, including hormone therapy, immunosuppressant therapy, and Chinese medicine therapy, so patients should not be too pessimistic, and active treatment can ease the progress of the disease.
