The normal value of the right hepatic oblique diameter is between 100~140mm, and any value not exceeding 140mm is considered normal. The diagonal diameter of the right lobe of the liver, mainly measured under ultrasound examination, is an imaging description. Increased diagonal diameter of the right lobe of the liver should be considered for the presence of conditions such as acute hepatitis or chronic right heart failure.
1. Acute viral hepatitis: Acute viral hepatitis is a liver disease caused by viral infection of the liver. When ultrasound is performed, it will show an increase in the diagonal diameter of the right lobe of the liver.
2. Chronic right heart failure: when the patient has chronic right heart failure, the blood in the circulation is stagnant and the blood return to the liver is blocked, which leads to cardiogenic cirrhosis in the long term, and the shape of the liver is enlarged. At this time, during the ultrasound examination, the diagonal diameter of the right lobe of the liver will also be found to exceed the normal value.
It is recommended to do regular liver function tests, pay attention to rest, eat a light diet, and increase outdoor exercise to reduce the incidence of liver diseases.
