Stool flocculent may be caused by physiological reasons such as irregular diet, or pathological reasons such as intestinal dysfunction and ulcerative colitis.
1. Physiological: prolonged irregular diet, overdose of pigmented vegetables caused by incomplete digestion of the stomach and intestines, food residues will be discharged along with the feces, appearing in the case of stool flocculent.
2. Intestinal dysfunction: due to long-term dietary inappropriateness, the absorption and digestion function decreases, and the mucus secreted by the gastrointestinal tissue reacts with the food, resulting in the appearance of stool flocculent.
3. Ulcerative colitis: the mucosa of the colon is infected by inflammation and ulceration occurs, leading to its necrosis, shedding and then discharged with the feces, which results in the appearance of stool flocculent.
There are many other causes of flocculent stools, which should be taken seriously, and it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination in time.
