What does subpericardial nodule mean?

Subpericardial nodules are a manifestation of hepatic fibrous tissue proliferation due to certain factors and cause structural disorders of the hepatic trabeculae, which can be detected by ultrasonography. Subpericardial nodules are often characterized by regenerative proliferative changes, focal nodular liver lesions, cirrhosis and hepatic adenomas. 1. Regenerative proliferative changes: this proliferative change belongs to regenerative hyperplasia of hepatic nodules, which is a diffuse small nodular-like change in the liver parenchyma, with no fibrous tissue surrounding the nodules, and is common in the elderly. Common manifestations include abdominal distension, abdominal pain and other symptoms, and in severe cases, ascites, gastrointestinal bleeding and other symptoms can occur. 2. Focal nodular changes of the liver: the cause of this disease is still unclear, and the liver vascular malformation, drugs, trauma and other factors. Nodules mainly appear under the hepatic pericardium. The clinical symptoms are not obvious in the early stage, and the nodules can appear as abdominal mass and epigastric pain after they are bigger. 3. Cirrhosis: Cirrhosis is a chronic liver disease caused by diffuse degeneration and necrosis of hepatocytes, fibrous tissue hyperplasia and nodular regeneration of hepatocytes under the hepatic envelope. Its clinical symptoms include abdominal distension, loss of appetite, emaciation, mild enlargement of liver and spleen, jaundice and so on. 4. Hepatic adenoma: it is a benign tumor under the liver peritoneum, which is mostly seen in young women of reproductive age who take birth control pills. There is no obvious symptom in early stage, after the tumor increases in size, abdominal distension, hidden pain or nausea and other compression symptoms can appear. If you find nodules under the hepatic pericardium, you need to go to the hospital in time for examination and treatment so as not to delay your condition.
