What anti-inflammatory drugs to take for circumcision

During the circumcision procedure, an oral cephalosporin antimicrobial, such as cefixime capsules or cefuroxime tablets, is given half an hour before surgery for perioperative infection prevention treatment. However, if the infection is clearly co-infected after the surgery, a long course of antimicrobial agents should be used according to the pathogenic bacteria of the infection for targeted treatment. Circumcision is classified as a class II procedure in terms of surgical classification, that is, a potentially contaminated procedure. The principle of antimicrobial treatment for class II surgery requires only one antimicrobial agent within half an hour before surgery, and no postoperative antimicrobial agent is required. However, for children, elderly patients or patients with underlying diseases, such as diabetes or immunocompromised patients, who already have preoperative infections, antimicrobial agents need to be administered according to a regular anti-infective treatment regimen. Cephalosporin antimicrobial agents can be chosen, as well as quinolone antimicrobial agents, such as cefuroxime sodium for injection, cefoxitin sodium for injection or levofloxacin hydrochloride for drug treatment.
