Theoretically, the results of a successful hair transplant are long-lasting, but some of the hairs may not survive and fall out after the transplant, and subsequent hair loss may still occur due to your own medical condition (e.g. androgenetic alopecia).
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that redistributes some of the hair from the body to the hair loss area of the skin or other parts of the body where hair is missing. There is a 6-month recovery period after hair transplantation. One to three months after the surgery, the implanted hair follicles enter the anagen phase one after another, shedding and growing unevenly. By the time it is about 6 months after surgery, it enters into a stable growth state.
However, not all implanted hairs can survive and some of them may not survive and fall off. In addition, if the hair loss is caused by disease, such as androgenetic alopecia, if the disease is not cured, there is still a possibility of subsequent hair loss, usually androgenetic alopecia patients still need to take oral finasteride and other drugs to control the disease after surgery.
