Stomach cancer is the most common malignant tumor in human beings, and China is a country with high incidence of stomach cancer, with nearly 200,000 new cases of stomach cancer every year, and the incidence and mortality rate of stomach cancer are the second highest among malignant tumors. If gastric cancer can be detected and treated early, the 5-year survival rate can reach more than 90%, and it can even be cured. But unfortunately, in daily life, many patients with gastric cancer are already in the middle and late stage, and even after surgery, the 5-year survival rate is still <30%. So, the question is, how to detect gastric cancer in early stage? First of all, we have to start from the high-risk groups. Who are the people who are prone to stomach cancer in life? If the age is greater than or equal to 40 years old, one of the following is a high-risk group: 1.H. pylori infection. 2. Chronic atrophic gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric polyp, post-operative residual stomach, hypertrophic gastritis, pernicious anemia and other diseases. 3.A first-degree relative (parents, siblings, children) has gastric cancer patients. 4.Other risks of stomach cancer (high salt, pickled and smoked food, smoking, heavy alcohol consumption) These people must pay high attention and go to hospital regularly for stomach cancer screening. Many people ask: Is there no typical symptom of stomach cancer in early stage? If there are, can't they be widely told to draw people's attention to early detection and early treatment? To be honest, the early symptoms of stomach cancer are often atypical and not much different from those of common stomach diseases and liver and gallbladder diseases, such as upper abdominal distension, belching, heartburn, early satiety, poor appetite, etc. Even many normal people may have similar symptoms, so it is difficult to link these symptoms with stomach cancer, let alone further diagnosis and treatment. However, once typical symptoms such as obvious weight loss, black stool and reduced meal quantity appear, it is often in the middle and late stage of stomach cancer. It is evident that the path of detecting early gastric cancer based on typical symptoms is not feasible. Having said that, many people may feel confused, is there no way to detect stomach cancer at early stage? If not, we can only leave it to fate. Of course, there is, and that is early screening. What are the methods of early screening? Specifically, the following: 1. Whistle test: to put it in layman's terms, blowing is the way to check whether there is Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection. The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified H. pylori as a category 1 pathogen of gastric cancer, which means there is a clear correlation with the occurrence of gastric cancer. If HP (+) is detected, standardized treatment should be carried out in time until HP is eliminated. 2.Gastroscopy: It is the gold standard for diagnosing gastric cancer, especially for early gastric cancer. Many friends may ask: can't we just draw blood for laboratory test? In fact, blood test is only a speculation through some laboratory indicators, and it has no obvious advantage over gastroscopy and gas test. Many people are very worried when it comes to gastroscopy: a long and thick tube to reach from the mouth to the stomach, the thought is unbearable, let alone do it. In fact, medical science is developing rapidly, and many examinations are becoming more and more comfortable and humanized, so you can choose painless gastroscopy or capsule gastroscopy if you have the conditions. It seems that gastroscopy can not only detect gastric cancer at an early stage, but also treat it at an early stage. In fact, simply having the awareness of regular screening is not enough. To reduce the incidence of gastric cancer, we need to adhere to the two legs of "early screening" and "regulating our diet and living habits", and both legs should be hard, especially for people with high incidence of gastric cancer. We must avoid eating pickled and smoked food, eat more milk and dairy products, increase the protein content of meat, fish and beans, eat fresh vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin C, avoid eating spoiled food, eat on time, prevent overeating, limit salt intake to about 6g per day for adults, quit smoking (avoid passive smoking), avoid excessive alcohol consumption, and persevere. May we be able to stick to the two legs and reduce the incidence of stomach cancer.
