In the past few days, several semi-permanent internal jugular vein placements have been done consecutively, and here I would like to talk to patients about the indications for such placements: 1. poor vascular conditions and expected long maturation time of internal fistula, more than six weeks; 2. difficult establishment of internal fistula; 3. poor cardiac function, unable to tolerate internal fistula shunt; 4. suspension of peritoneal dialysis; 5. waiting for renal transplantation; 6. severe disease, or combined with other serious diseases.
