Fossa closure procedure

The clinical operation of the fissure closure is easy and can be completed in just 3 – 5 minutes per tooth without any pain or discomfort. Step 1: Clean the tooth surface. Low speed bender + small conical bristle brush or rubber cup, dipped in toothpaste (fluoride free) to brush the tooth surface. Rinse the tooth surface thoroughly with clean water. Step 2: Acid etching. Usually 20 – 30 seconds. 60 seconds for milk teeth. Up to 2/3 of the cusp bevel. Step 3: Rinse and dry. Pressurized water gun rinse for 15 seconds. Blow dry the tooth surface for 15 seconds. Step 4: Apply the socket sealer, light cure, and finish. Step 5: Inspection. Bonding condition, presence of air bubbles, occlusion.
