There are many ways to check for uterine fibroids: 1. Ultrasound can be done to clarify the presence of fibroids on the uterus. 2. CT can be done to determine the presence of fibroids by also identifying hypoechoic nodules. Such as MRI and PET-CT can check whether there are fibroids on the uterus. 3. If fibroids grow too large, or subplasmic fibroids on the anterior wall, a gynecological double or triple examination can clarify whether there are fibroids on the uterus. Uterine fibroids are a common benign tumor in gynecology, also known as uterine smooth muscle tumors, and occur in nearly 20% of women of childbearing age. Some people have large fibroids that require surgery, while others have small fibroids that can be observed on a follow-up basis.
