How long does it take for the uterine incision to recover from a second cesarean delivery?

Most of the uterine incisions can heal in about 1 week after delivery due to tissue regeneration, granulation and scar formation, but there are some cases of poor healing due to poor alignment of the uterine incision, necrosis due to local infection or large difference in tissue thickness between the upper and lower edges of the uterine incision. In some cesarean patients, vaginal bleeding due to a splitting or poor healing of the uterine incision sometimes occurs 2-3 weeks after the operation, so the uterine incision will heal at the latest about 3 months after delivery. It is recommended to give a good protein intake and fresh vegetables after delivery to promote healing.
