Breastmilk can be kept for 8 days when refrigerated in a freezer at 0℃-4℃; if it is refrigerated in the freezer layer of the refrigerator, the shelf life is about 2 weeks, if it is stored in a special freezer and the door is often opened to take things, the shelf life is 3-4 months; deeply refrigerated breastmilk with the temperature kept below 0℃ and the door is not often opened, the shelf life can be up to 6 months or more. It is normal for breast milk to decompose and appear blue, yellow or brown after refrigeration. If you need to store breast milk for various reasons and then feed your child, you can store it in the freezer of the refrigerator if it is kept for a short period of time. The same bottle of breastmilk should be finished within one hour as soon as possible after it is taken out from the freezer and rewarmed. If it is not finished, throw it away directly and do not refrigerate or freeze it again. Breast milk taken out of the refrigerator freezer must be properly thawed and heated to a suitable temperature before feeding. It is generally not suitable to be heated in the microwave oven to avoid the nutrients in the breast milk being destroyed or unevenly heated to the detriment of the baby’s health. When heating breastmilk, you can put it in a suitable container and put it in hot water for heating. Do not heat the breastmilk to too high a temperature to avoid destroying the enzymes and immune components in it.
