Is advanced squamous lung cancer contagious?

Lung squamous carcinoma is a disease caused by the interaction of multiple factors such as environment and genes, and it is not contagious in the late stage. Lung squamous carcinoma is a common malignant tumor of the respiratory system and is one of the pathological types of lung cancer. It can be caused by gene mutation, environmental pollution, smoking, heredity and other factors. The main treatment method after the disease is diagnosed is comprehensive treatment based on surgical resection. As lung cancer itself is not contagious, it is not contagious when it develops to the late stage. Patients with advanced stage of squamous lung cancer may have complications such as multiple metastases, malignant disease and multi-organ failure. In this period, symptomatic treatment, targeted therapy, radiotherapy and other non-surgical therapies are mostly feasible, and the purpose of treatment is to improve the quality of patient’s survival, and the five-year survival rate after active treatment is about 10%~15%.
