What is membranous nephropathy stage II?

Membranous nephropathy is a common disorder of nephrotic syndrome, with peg formation in the glomerular basement membrane seen on stage II electron microscopy.
Membranous nephropathy is a group of diseases characterized by outer glomerular basement membrane, subepithelial immune complex deposition with diffuse thickening of glomerular basement membrane. Stage II of membranous nephropathy is characterized by diffuse thickening of the glomerular basement membrane under the epithelial cells with deposition of larger masses of electron-dense material, which are interspersed with pegs formed by reactive hyperplasia of the glomerular basement membrane.
The basic treatment of membranous nephropathy includes salt restriction, rest and appropriate exercise, and blood pressure control. Therapeutic drugs include ACEI/ARB drugs such as valsartan, chlorosartan, captopril, etc., hormones such as prednisone, methylprednisolone, etc., and immunosuppressants such as cyclophosphamide and cyclosporine.
Patients with membranous nephropathy stage II should go to the hospital in time and be treated under the guidance of professional physicians. Drugs should be used according to the doctor’s prescription, do not self-medicate.
