What are Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgG antibodies?

IgG antibodies are a type of Mycoplasma pneumoniae antibody, and IgM antibodies are also included, but IgG antibodies cannot be used as a criterion for diagnosing acute Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection, as elevated values tend to appear slowly, and a positive result only indicates that the patient has had a Mycoplasma infection in the past. If IgM antibodies are positive, it means that the patient is in the acute infection stage. Once the diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection is confirmed, treatment should be chosen in conjunction with clinical symptoms. For those who do not have any symptoms but are positive for IgM antibodies to mycoplasma, they can heal themselves without treatment, but if there are obvious clinical symptoms, they need to be treated with anti-mycoplasma drugs.
