How soon to walk on the ground with a fractured dice bone

Patients with dice bone fractures can usually walk on the ground after 3 months, but the specific practice is related to the patient’s age, degree of fracture, treatment method and other factors. Patients with simple avulsion fractures without obvious misalignment can usually walk on crutches after 6 weeks of fixation and no abnormalities, and can walk normally after 1 month; patients with obvious fracture misalignment or comminuted fractures need surgery and cannot walk on the ground until the fracture heals, and can usually perform functional exercises after 6-8 weeks and walk on the ground after 3 months. In children, if the fracture end is not displaced, they can walk on the ground after 4-5 weeks of conservative treatment; in elderly and frail patients, the fracture heals more slowly and the time to walk on the ground should be delayed. After the fracture, patients can be treated with medications to promote blood circulation and fracture healing, as well as nutritional support. Pain and swelling may occur at first, soak your feet in hot water at night and elevate the affected leg while sleeping.
