Can you operate on a paravascular mass in the right neck?

Right neck paravascular mass can be operated, but it is necessary to pay attention to avoid damaging the blood vessels during the operation; common neck masses in clinic include thyroid cancer, parathyroid adenoma and so on. 1. Thyroid cancer: pathological types include papillary carcinoma, follicular adenocarcinoma, medullary carcinoma, undifferentiated carcinoma; for thyroid cancer with clear diagnosis, if there is history of radiation or distant metastasis in the neck, bilateral cancerous nodules, extrathyroidal invasion, and the diameter of the lumps is larger than 4cm, it is feasible to perform a total resection or near-total resection of the thyroid gland; since the mass is located beside blood vessels, attention should be paid to avoiding injuries when performing the operation. 2. Parathyroid adenoma: the tumor grows slowly, because the thyroid adenoma may cause hyperthyroidism and malignant transformation, so it should be resected at an early stage by lobectomy or partial resection (adenoma) of the diseased side of the thyroid gland including the adenoma; the resected specimen must be subjected to frozen section examination immediately in order to determine whether there are malignant transformations, and if malignant transformations are detected, then total resection of the thyroid gland is needed. If a mass is found next to the right large cervical blood vessel, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time and actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment.
