What is Split Personality Disorder?

The scientific name for split personality is dissociative identity disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder, which is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct identities or personalities, each of which exhibits a unique self-experience. The main symptoms are memory dissociation, dissociative identity changes, mood disorders, and obsessions.
Patients with schizophrenic personality disorder may present similarly to schizophrenic manifestations. Typical symptoms of patients include memory dissociation, dissociative identity changes, dysphoria, obsessive-compulsive, very limited emotional experiences, very odd behavior, poor interpersonal relationships, and excessive anxiety.
The common causes of this disease are genetic and environmental factors. The disease is more common in young people, with a slightly higher prevalence in men than in women.
There is no means of preventing this disease, but only early detection, early diagnosis and timely treatment.
