Can ultrasound of the neck detect laryngeal cancer?

Neck ultrasound cannot detect laryngeal cancer. Neck ultrasound mainly observes the situation of blood vessels and lymph nodes in the neck, but if laryngeal cancer occurs with lymph node metastasis in the neck, the metastatic lymph nodes will be found through neck ultrasound, and pathological puncture can be done under ultrasound guidance for further clarification. If laryngeal cancer is to be examined, the patient needs to be observed whether hoarseness, unclear speech, coughing, coughing sputum, or blood in sputum is present. If the patient has the above conditions, he/she needs to go to hospital for examination in time. Firstly, he/she needs to do laryngoscopy to check whether there are new organisms in the vocal cord under laryngoscopy, and if there are new organisms, he/she can also take biopsy with forceps for pathological examination to further clarify whether there is laryngeal cancer.
