What tests should patients with enamel erosion undergo?

The hard, white, translucent, most calcified tissue of the outer layer of the crown of the tooth erodes, causing damage. When we consume foods with high acid content for a long period of time, the enamel on the surface of the teeth erodes and decalcifies. When the enamel has abrasion, it reveals the dentin and is yellowish. Damaged enamel is a microscopic manifestation, which is not easy to detect by the naked eye, but it will produce some secondary diseases, such as pulpitis, periodontitis, and gingival recession. Survey shows that most of our population suffers from different degrees of oral diseases, and enamel damage makes it easy for bacteria to invade. Damaged tooth enamel can lead to the exposure of dentin tubules, causing dentin hypersensitivity, commonly known as tooth allergy. When subjected to external stimuli such as cold, heat, acid, sweet and mechanical effects, the teeth produce a strong sense of soreness.
